Lease or Setup My Own Craigslist Proxy?

If you are thinking of a Craigslist proxy, you can go about it two ways. You can rent one from someone else or just setup your own. So when should you rent and when should you setup one? If you find yourself needing a lot of IPs to post a lot of ads on Craigslist each day, you should probably consider creating your own server. Just how much is a lot? Anymore than 50 a day, would be considered heavy and you should look at your own server. Less than this and you should be ok with renting IPs from someone else. Renting IPs from other people is fine, but usually they come at a much higher price compared to setting up your own. If you need to post a lot of ads on Craigslist, look at investing into your own Craigslist proxy instead of renting from someone else. You will save a bundle of money.

Is It Possible For Craigslist to Track Craigslist Proxy Activity?

Are you putting ads on on Craigslist via a Craigslist Proxy? If so, is it possible that Craigslist knows your every move? This depends entirely on how anonymous your Craigslist Proxy is. If your proxy server is an elite or exclusive proxy that you configured yourself and are the only one who uses it, most likely what you are doing is completely safe from the prying eyes of Craigslist. However, if you are posting on Craigslist with a free or shared proxy server, then there is a good chance that everything you are doing is completely visible. Shared & free proxies typically offer less security and are not anonymous, something which is vital to successfully post ads on Craigslist. The main reason is due to their how anonymous they are and that elite proxy servers typically can not be detetected as a proxy server. The other problem is that shared proxy servers might have many people doing the same thing with the allocated proxy IPs. It isn’t a great idea to share IPs with other people who might be doing the samething as you on Craigslist, right? Obviously not. If you are using an elite Craigslist Proxy then you should be safe and anonymous on Craigslist.

If I Use a Craigslist Proxy Will My Ads Get Flagged?

Do you find that your ADS are constantly being flagged off of Craigslist? A lot of people seem to think that ads are flagged due to some IP or proxy reason.. This is not the case.

Ads on Craigslist are flagged by members of Craigslist and not actually any spam filters. Your ad is being flagged for one of several reasons:

A. What you are posting on Craigslist is spam or perceived as spam. In terms of content, posting frequency or posting locations.

B. Someone else who is in the same market as you has decided to flag your ads so they can sell more. All they need to do is flag your ads or get someone else to do it. There are actually groups of people who get together and do this.

The main cause of your ad getting flagged is usually one of the above. It usually is not due to your Craigslist proxy.

Should I Use Passwords On My Craigslist Proxy?

If you have your own Craigslist Proxy then something that is vital to know about is security. Having to constantly enter usernames and passwords when changing IPs can be tiring but should not be neglected. Proxy servers are machines out in the open on the internet and therefore can potentially be accessed by anyone. Even though there are millions of other IP addresses out on the internet this does not make it impossible to find your proxy server IP. Technology today can allow someone to potentially find your proxy server with great ease by simply scanning IP ranges looking for servers that are not secured with a password. Make sure that whenever you setup a proxy that you always make it password protected. If someone else gains access to your proxy server then you can be held liable for any damages that they do through the use of it. If you want to save time, instead of not using a password, there are many other applications and programs out there that will automaticallys handle username and passwords for logging into your proxy. Use these instead as they will achieve what you want (speeding up the login process) but also alow you to retain the high level of security that your Craigslist Proxy requires.

Do Webproxies Work As A Craigslist Proxy?

You are more than likely heard of web proxies before. Many people assume that they can use a webproxy as their Craigslist proxy. However, this couldn’t be further from the truth. The main problem with webproxies is their lack of anonymity. If you want to post ads on Craigslist then this is something that is very important. Webproxies can be identified as webproxies by anyone who examines any IP coming from a webproxy. This makes it extremely easy for Craigslist and other sites to first inspect the true nature of an IP and if it is detected as a proxy any ads coming from the IP are banned. Since web proxies typically are free, there are some people who make the mistake of assuming that all proxies are created equally and they try to use them to post on Craigslist. This obviously doesn’t work and they quickly become frustrated. Even though free is good, webproxies and other free proxies simply do not work with Craigslist and the only real solution is to spend a few dollars on setting up and creating your own Craigslist proxy.

How Many IPs Should I Get On My Craigslist Server?

The exact number of IPs you should get with your proxy is dependant on a few factors. The first is what kind of budget do you have to spend on your proxy server and secondly what quantity of ads are you looking to post daily. Having a few IPs quite obviously means you will be restricted in the amount of ads you can post safely. So if you are looking to posts heaps of ads make sure that you get as many IPs as you can afford. Do you just need to post a couple of ads each day on Craigslist? Or do you need to get hundreds of ads up? For those who would be happy with just one or two ads, one IP on your proxy server would be more than enough. This would be more than enough to do what you need. However, for those who want to post a large quantity of ads, such as 100 a day, they should invest in between 5 to 10 IPs to start. Generally speaking, for every IP that you have on your proxy server you can post approximately 10 ads. Using that rule you should be able to quickly figure out if you have enough IPs on your Craigslist proxy to safely post ads with.

Can I Get Different IPs For My Craigslist Proxy?

For those who are going to setup their own Craigslist Proxy, making sure your IPs are from different C class IP ranges is something you should pay special attention to. It isn’t a topic that is discussed often, but by not making sure you are using IPs on your proxy server from different C class IP ranges you are opening the door to be blocked by Craiglsist.

IPs are seperated into four ranges, A B C and D. By using ranges we are able to log network IDs and network activity. Everytime you connect to the internet you are given an IP which identifies you online. Most people know that by going offline and then back online you are able to change your IP, but most of the time the new IP your ISP gives you is still within the same range. This allows companies and other people to more easily identify your activities as even after changing your IP, it hasn’t changed enough so that one could make assumptions or try and track patterns of activity between your new and old IP. It is more than possible that this is exactly what Craigslist uses as part of their system to filter out spam. If you wish to remain anonymous to Craigslist then C class IP ranges for your proxy server should help you to do so.

As previously mentioned, using IPs in the same C class IP range may make it possible for Craigslist to detect your activity even though you could be using several different accounts (since your new IP isn’t varied enough from the old one to make you look like a completely different user). This very same concept of using different C class IP ranges applies to proxy servers and is something you should pay great attention to. Usually, IPs that are assigned to proxy servers are normally within the same C class range, this is something you should try to avoid. If you wish to post a lot of ads on Craigslist then remaining anonymous is very important, so make sure your Craigslist Proxy has different C class IP ranges if possible.

Craigslist Proxy

Having trouble gettings your posts on Craigslist? Usually there is one main reason for this and so you probably will need a Craigslist proxy to help you post ads. Craigslist owns many sites for several countries around the world. If you live outside of the country you wish to post on your ad will not go live. Craigslist utilizes this as a way to control spam. Why would someone want to post on another country website? Simply because there is typically much more traffic and opportunity in countries like the USA compared to posting on classified websites like those found in China. The work around for this problem is through the use of a proxy. However, not just any proxy will work. The reason they typically don’t work is because Craigslist knows about these kinds of proxies. They simply then blacklist the free proxy and any ads they see coming from the free proxy are automatically deleted. This isn’t the only problem with free proxies. Another problem stems from just how slow and painful they can be to use sometimes. Free proxies usually are overloaded with people because it is free. Too many people results in a slow proxy which causes all of your internet surfing to take much longer than it should. Anyone who wishes to try and post classified ads on Craigslist look at investing in a Craigslist proxy which only you can use.
